VO2max test

Summary: A ramp test whereby the exercise intensity progressively becomes harder, typically over a 12-14 minute period. Measures maximal oxygen uptake (VO2max), lactate and anaerobic thresholds, training zones, maximum heart rate and dynamic lung capacity. Provides a good overview of relative strengths and weaknesses from which to base future training emphasis.

Summary: Designed to give a detailed profile of energy requirements at ‘race pace’, this is a steady state test typically lasting 30-40 minutes. Measures exact calorific burn rate in Kcals/min and gives breakdown between fats and carbohydrates. Ideal for time trialing and working out fueling strategies for long rides.

RMR measurement

Summary: Establishes through measurement your exact daily calorific requirement for weight maintenance, gain or loss, and whether you are a fat burner or a sugar burner at rest. Includes discussion on best eating strategies, optimal food types, common problem areas and solutions, factors that affect RMR and how best to refuel for optimum recovery and performance.
